My title line mentions that these area TRIFOCAL readers, because this wasn’t clear to me and I thought they were bifocal readers. Progressive only means they are no line but the description does not mention they have three focal points. All they have is an illustration showing ‘computer’ as the middle part of the lens with no mention that it’s differently magnified. If you use a tablet and a laptop or a desktop, the distance from each screen will be different rendering these type of glasses useless. They look great on and are flattering, but for me it was a mistake to buy them as I could see nothing clearly through any part of the lens. Do not believe anyone when they say your eyes will adapt to this, they don’t. I’ve yet to meet one person who likes trifocals. Also, the right lens was different from the left toward the bottom (the right lens was clear while the left lens was blurry in the same area). I’ve never been able to wear trifocals and have an extremely expensive pair that have been sitting in their case many years unused. This is how I found this company Scojo. I purchased what are now discontinued metal frame readers called Ocean Avenue which I’ve been wearing many years and they are cat eye half readers (or granny glasses) which are bottom frameless so I must look over the top to see distance since I’m farsighted. I would like to be able to see things without interference. The best thing about this brand is they make the clearest lenses I’ve ever seen as they are prescription grade plastics, even if blurry. They are also extremely lightweight which is a good thing.Progressive Gel cat lenses seemed the solution but were not. Then I found they sell this identical style of frame in readers which I thought were going to be BIFOCALS this time since they are full lens. Nope again, the entire lens is magnified so now I must pull them down to see distance or look over the top. Another issue I’m having is that unlike their granny half cat eye readers (Ocean Avenue), these don’t have nose grips like good glasses all have and they slide constantly on my ski slope of a nose which has no bump to stop them. I must buy grips to prevent this. I only paid $44 but I don’t understand why they are so poorly thought out compared to my first pair of readers and there is no possible way to adjust them. They fall short of perfection but if Scojo wanted they could fix all of these issues. Why not make a flattering lens like this with good nose grips, adjustable arms, and a bifocal with no magnification on the top? Also, make them in ALL of these colors like they did their progressive trifocals. I wanted the clear frames they call ‘crystal’ but they only came in purple, green or ‘milky rose’ which I settled for. it’s not horrible and fortunately for me they match my skin tone nearly, but clear frames look nearly invisible which is a great thing in a pair of glasses.My advice to anyone buying this brand is to make sure you are buying what you think you are beforehand, but also know the sellers are hard to communicate with. Spell out in detail what you want and make sure they actually answer questions. I had no luck, but maybe you will. They advised me to buy their regular original gel readers instead of this cat eye style which is what I indicated wanting. I had to find them in identical readers by chance on their site myself. It felt as if they didn’t take time to read what I had said about what I wanted at all… but they were so nice about it!
