Well I thought they were good glasses. And just like other prescription transition glasses. You cant tell they are getting dark..I bought these for my husband and I have prescription ones..they do get dark he said yltjey didn't buy I seen them on him and they do..But unfortunately his right ear piece broke..that is the only thing that happened to them..now I have to buy another pair.I returned the item. Just not what I was looking for.I super glued them back and I still use them and they work good enough. I probably should have returned them and got a new pair, eventually.I had been wearing a prescription glasses for years and finally decided to try my readers again. I wasn't excited about spending another $480 on a new pair of glasses. I tried all the strengths and found what I needed to see everything (including my phone) and bought a few different readers. What was missing was the ability to darken while in the sun that I had grown so accustomed to. These are fantastic! Everything I want.. over and out. ?edit: I now have 3 pair! One in the car, and two in the house ? (one pair is gold for when we go out)One lens was not attached to the frame. Glasses take a while to turn to sunglasses. They do work as reading glasses but not in the too bright sunlight.The lenses do not darken as depictedPerfect use glassesI like transition glasses but the others I have are heavier and leave indents and red marks on my nose. I wanted some with adjustable nose guards, saw these, and am not sorry. I have a large/wide head (I'm 6'4") and these are large, wide, spring hinges sit comfortably and don't give me a headache. Transitions work in the sun and adjust quickly.Short period of 2 days only for my eyes to adapt to new glasses. Soft transition from near to far sight, great and fast adjustment to suntlight, solid & light weight frame, with a classy design. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this order!
